HA

Told.

Why can't we all stop paying each other out and just pay out Bruce like we always used to. ;)

Well the new prize packs came out last night and yep..
That DVD is still on offer to 3rd place!!!

LOL

What did we do wrong to deserve that punishment?????

Tell me you can't see a humiliated smile on most of the TD's as they hand them out.

Shouldn't it be on offer to those that either sign up that night as a completely new player to the game or as Mc said, to the first one out.

About the DVD....

The acting is TERRIBLE and it really is difficult to sit through the first 1/2 to 2/3's of it. For that much of it you have my sympathies.

However... I sincerely wish everyone would watch probably the last 1/3 of it so they might at last finally realise that a gutshot is not worth calling an allin for and runner runner isn't a draw and any ace does not always win and that calling is not bluffing.

I'd be fairly willing to bet some skittles that those rubbishing it in it's entirety haven't watched the whole thing all the way through. There are definitely some useful things in there that it's CLEAR some of our fellow players have not learned.
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

I'd also like to thank Nathan for taking the time to mention this very thread in his opening speech at the Kentish Arms last night.

Nathan was good enough to fill us in on recent happenings and ideas and this was clearly in response to the concerns raised in here.

Nathan also raised a very good point in his earlier post. That is... this website is not the main NPL website. You could think of it more as an official fan site that has the support of the NPL itself. It's created, owned and run by David who is a player just like you or I (except he is funny looking and a little strange) :P

This of course backs up exactly what Nathan said, the main NPL website is the place you SHOULD be expecting to go to for any new announcements regarding finals etc but it's not our or Annabelle's fault they don't have fritz in Sydney if you know what I mean.

Previous big events such as the teams event had registration required via this website as a way of helping us to get you guys on here in the first place and starting to participate in some discussion about everybody's favourite pub poker league.

I would even go so far as to say (politely) that perhaps some of you don't realise just how good you have it with the communication channels that are open between yourselves and the NPL staff.
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

I second the acting comment there. I chuckled.

Great Post Pete.

I'll also agree that if it wasn't for the forum and player support i foubt very much that the teams event or Berri Deepstack events would have ever gone ahead.

I do also agree that the forum is the official fan site and the communication between staff and member is great! I'll keep reading if you guys keep writing!

Regards

Hey Pete/Nathan, any chance of filling in us on the recent happenings/ideas in NPL?
