I think the people who do it, do it for not much or no renumeration.

So pokernews must have not updated from that last hand.
They still have Garth on 290K?

Brett would know more, but from reading that it doesnt really say if he makes an income from reporting. I remember reading something they only get paid a small sum and most of them suppliment that by playing poker.

Still would be cool if you could do it.

I'll do the Skycity championships lol.

Think you will find that Thkcduckworth or Tim Duckworth, he did play for a while, but might have gone busto or needed to slow down.

He is doing the reporting gig more as a way of having a steady income and also still getting to go to all the cool events.

As for renumeration. Not entirely too certain. It could be on a contract basis, rather than an annual salary. But hell pokernews is still up there as one of the leading sites.

Just look at all the coverage tiffany michelle got when she jumped to UB in the WSOP of this year. She was sponsored in by PNW, and then the hoohaa went down.

Moral of this story, don't let your boyfriend get you a sponsorship deal mid way through a tournament. She should have gotten a lot more, but got blinded by the idea of playing poker for a living.

No, but the standard in a big tournament might be a tiny bit better.

Unless Mathew "C-Bet" Rochford is there. :D

Cheap shot or not, being around poker and watching it being played is always interesting. After a while though you will get to a point where you will want to be in on the action. Sometimes though you will be out of your league.

Say watching Phil Hellmuth or Phil Ivey for a year, then going online with a whole 10k and playing 100/200 NLHE, you still gonna go busto.

But watching them and playing 10/20 NLHE, how many times are you thinking that you should be playing a higher level.

Brett.
