djite got dropped for some reason that is only known to graham arnold.
especially because the olyroos are playing 1 up front (thompson), and bombing it on his head most of the time.
isn't that what djite is made for?

Re: 2010 Football World Cup Qualification
I know it's exactly NOT what Thompson is made for.
Djite is certainly more in a position to use his strength when playing 1 up front. I wonder if Djite told GA just how crap he is

Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Well, we're completely stuffed now.. Great forward thinking Arnie.

Thompson had been in doubt after he was hurt during Australia's 1-0 loss to Argentina in Shanghai on Sunday.
He will most likely be replaced in the starting line-up by Perth Glory's Nikita Rukavytsya, who came on as a 72nd-minute substitute against the Argentines.
Ruben Zadkovich, the goal scorer in Australia's opening 1-1 draw with Serbia, is also in doubt after suffering a groin strain in the last match.
I'm not perfect. I'm what perfect aspires to become

This hasn't been actually said anywhere in the media, but me gets the impression that Brucey and Burnsy, who have just signed big deals to begin their overseas careers, and are just about to begin seasons with these clubs are (and its harsh to say it) more concerned with cementing or trying to establish themselves as regular first team players with their new clubs. If they had missed the pre-season freindlies and the first few games of the year, they might have accidently given themselves splinterarse syndrome?????
Riskers gamble, experts calculate.

Re: 2010 Football World Cup Qualification
That's actually not a bad point.
There's quite a few clubs who frown on their players going to the Olympics and given they only just signed for them they'd want to be doing the right thing.
Don't get me started on the club vs country debate though
