Hopefully Nathan can fill us in more (and regularly) but from what I remember there wasn't a lot to report.
The main points were..
1) Everybody seems to be talking a load of rubbish and doesn't know what they're on about but are happy to go around telling people anyway (my words, not his).
2) Events like the Region of Origin are being looked at (yay).

Re: I'm a little disappointed
I must say that David has done a great job in setting up and maintaining the Forum. I assume it was sanctioned by NPL management to allow the use of the NPL name and create such a great venue to see what's going on elsewhere in the state.
By doing so, it has allow NPL players and management to use the Forum as an announcement platform for up and coming events, but it has also allowed us the punters to put forward our views (some good some bad and some indifferent) in an open discussion.
It was and still is a known fact that the Official NPL Site (Sydney based) was so far behind that our so called grape vine was more efficient. This was made very clear by Garth at the time that there were problems getting the Syney based IT people to keep us informed.
Hmmmmmmmmmmm, I seem to recall Garth using "our players forum" as a sounding board to gain a response on the prizes available for the state finals. It started out as a "what would you prefer cash or prizes". And based on the response after the first season we now have cash prizes.
And yes due to players discussing their thoughts and views on here over the last few months we have managed to encourage NPL to have Team events, Big Stack events. Plus, offer additional incentives to encourage players to play more and more tournaments such as the player of the week and of course your best 15 games as player of the season. And the list goes on due to the Forums input.
Stand up and be counted David!!!!!! If it wasn't for you and whoever assisted you in setting up the Forum it's quite possible none of this would have ever occurred.
Now if we can get the powers to be to dig a little deeper into their pockets and put the final table chips on key rings and maybe some more up to date mags or DVD's or the likes we (the Forum) have done our job again.
By the way JJ another nice Thread and once again it seems we might be able to make our voices heard and make a difference.

Re: I'm a little disappointed
Thanks for your input Bob, I appreciate your words.
I must confess I started this topic because I hoped we would hear from Annabelle in relation to so many questions being asked by not only myself but by other NPL players I see around the traps and by forum members.
I am disappointed Annabelle has not seen fit to answer any questions raised in this particular topic by myself or by others.
But I have said from the start, we are extremely lucky to have this forum set up by Dave so we are able to voice our thoughts and ask questions, I have no doubt that if it had not been for it then a heap of ideas would not even get looked at.
Anyway, it seems that Nathan didn't really want this to be flogged to death (which is fair enough) so I won't go on.
