There is a possibility of the new FT chips being redeemable at a later date for something, possibly tournament oriented; so hold on to them, people.

Don't throw them across car parks like me ... :?

Again, which car park? :D

Des wrote:I disagree here guys... you have to have a 2nd place prize. It sucks busting your ass in a tournament, to finish 2nd, and have nothing to show for it. Anyway, most venues offer 1st and 2nd prizes, so why shouldn't NPL? Winner takes all is great for the winner, but sucks for 2nd place.

I'm happy to drop the 3rd place prize though.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the upcoming Skycity satellites winner take all? It wouldn't surprise me if something nominal was up for grabs for the final nine etc, but all I've read and heard so far is that 1st is a main event ticket.

re: FT chips being used for something more.

This would be pretty unlikely I would have thought, without some sort of official announcement. I've kept all mine, but I'm thinking it wouldn't really be fair on those who haven't?

And what, you can "stake" someone into the tourney with your chips if you do not wish to partake? Else they'd have to verify your FT chip count, in which case you don't really need to hold onto them.

Nope. I may well be a case of me being safe thinking that, because it will never happen, but I big believer in winner take all. Just a personal preference, not something I expect everyone else to take either. Would be nice tho!

There's absolutely nothing set in stone regarding these FT chips yet, Matt.
