You complain about this now? After how many state finals?
It's a relaxed blind structure as well, not the standard.

True.

Sorry, I thought it was 2,500. Don't know where I got that from - the forum comes to mind, but I've just checked the State Finals topics... no mention of 2,500. Hmm..
Anyway, 3k isn't that much different. And a relaxed blind structure? Pfft. 20 mins instead of 15? What is that, 5 more hands? Still have NPL players dealing... not a TD.

OK.. how about we play for 20 hours straight then lol.
They have to fit in 600 people and try and finish before the venue closes lol.

ALK,
You also forget to mention the additional blinds included in the structure.
If you would like we can go to 30minute blind levels of a regular NPL blind structure if you would prefer?
I know which one the staff would prefer?

Re: Countdown to State Finals
Antes are fantastic.
They move the tournament along and nothing is more annoying than the grind of the first few levels of play.
But when those blinds and antes get worthwhile, thats when you start playing real poker. Marginal holdings start to look like AA, your reads need to become more exact, an error in the way you played a hand can cost you your whole tournament. Exciting stuff.
I would love sitting down at a tournament with a 3K start stacks and blinds commencing from 100/200 with a 50 ante.
Now that would be awesome.

Re: Countdown to State Finals
Not that I really got to experience them too much at Berri, but I loved the antes - I just wish I'd still had enough of a stack to play for them properly
This next question is based on the assumption last SFs had 4k starting stacks. Is there a reason, beyond shortening the day, they have been reduced?
note: This isn't a complaint - 2500 was plenty on the weekend for a decent shot at it. Obviously I'd prefer more, but hey, its FREE
