Laura - they are probably just to ashamed to tell you what it's *really* about :) Besides, the person they are ringing to speak to is either available or not available.. what it's about shouldn't change that and if the person they want to speak to wants to know then they can take the call. If they object, hand them a tissue.

On the topics of sandwiches, I hate it when people leave the sandwich press at work in a mess (just happened to me hence my rant), I want to eat MY sandwich not theirs too! :x

Pete - all i need from them is a surname, that would be a big help, that would advise the recipient of the call who they are at least, which i think is fair. Besides, rationality has no place in a rant - what the hell do you think you're doing?
