NPL Venue Locations in Google Maps

Hi all, I had a bit of spare time and was looking for a venue on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday so I decided to plot all venues into Google Maps. Check it out for each day below. Be awesome if the NPL website had some kind of feature like this too.

Monday

Great idea, but the link for tuesday seems wrong

It says thursday when you go to it, and theres no Semaphore Palais listed

I *was* going to say 'what drugs are you on, it's always had that' but upon double checking it now seems that there is no longer a google map when you click a venues name.

BUT if you click on the little calendar thingamy and go back to 2007, then click on a venue name...there they are!

Bring it back!

I found it useful on the (bad word coming..) NPPL site where it showed where each of the venues were located with respect to each other (ie having all venues on 1 map), but yeah, google maps does show where venues are located

Would be better if all venues were included on these maps rather than a selected few. I'm just looking for Barossa venues at the moment. Not too hard to find Nuriootpa and Tanunda on Google Earth.

They all are aren't they? I think the problem is it's only working for 2007 and not 2008.

Going by the current speed of changes/fixes being made to the NPL website it may even be 2009 before we see it fixed

I could add the Barossa venues to the maps I created if people wanted me to, or I could even create more maps for other days of the week, it's just a matter of entering the data. Or if you were just looking for a Barossa Valley venues, then a map could be created for that.

Approached Steve (HEAD IT GUY) about your ideas, he really likes them but unfortunately he is busy for the next fortnight.
The speed of implementation for anything web based is not that fast, in fact I have seen Darren move faster physically, but we do want to use google maps outlining all venues available on a day on the home page.
Not all venues can be displayed on google maps as there is usually some problem with the updated, and probably incorrect, address. When I have the time I will go through admin and rectify this so hopefully all venues can bee displayed.

Myself and Brice (NG79) are going to finish the maps (well HE is for now) and then I'll put them on the left hand side menu for people to use.

I actually had them all done, but I can't remember my login or password for google maps, but it wasn't by day either.
