Look - TDs do their best, of course they do, it is their job, end of story. One woud be fairly foolish not to do their best in an environment which is publically viewed and monitored on an internet forum. I know I would be slightly freaked out if my employment status could be debated on an internet forum - it is quite intrusive to debate somebody's employment capabilities. But having said that. the NPL approves of this and other debates so my comments are neither here nor there.

BUT i would just like to recognise the good work NPL dealers do, but the point and exercise of debating the quality and standards of NPL TDs in my opinion is quite harsh and intrusive - not that I have any problem with anybody critiquing somebody's performance... but when it comes to soembody's livelihood - we should all take a step back and wonder how it would be if our job performance was reviewed, critiqued and criticised on an internet forum - i bet you wouldn't like it...

Not that anyone has said anything bad, I just thought i'd raise it given the task TDs have at hand.. Cheers

why does it mater if its an internet fourm

I work for a fairly important company that supplies a fairly important service to loacal fruit growers and farmers and have done for close to 10 years, my work and my service level and the quality of service i provide to my clients is critiqued by the clients regularly, but its not done on an internet fourm its done at the post office or the news agent or the pub or grower group meetings where these clients get together and continiualy question the service they get for the money they pay

i know this because i have growers tells me it goes on and because i have been in this industry long enough and IM NOT STUPID

just because i know it goes on doesnt stop me it actually encorages me to improve my performance and make sure i am providing the service my clients require for the money they spend. I sleep well at night knowing that if a client wants to talk about me and my buisness to sombody else it will be good comments that may bring me even more buisness

So what are you freaked out about !!!!!

You should only be freaked out if you believe deep down your not doing you job

if your doing your job well you should have nothing to be freaked out about
Does anyone know how to make money playing uno vs 6 year olds, its about the only card game i get to play these days.

obviously you are not one of the following

doctor, nurse, policeman, teacher, government employee, politician, bartender, waitress, own your own business, or ANY job that deals with the public on a day to day basis.

if you deal with the public, or there is some public interest in what you do as a job, then you are fair game to be discussed by that same public that spends their money and gives you a job.

that is what is being done here

and when you say 'I heart NPL thread', there is an obvious reason for this.

1. NPL is the best pub poker company in the state by far, especially with regards to their professionalism - you can't bag someone if they are doing a good job can you?

I'm doing a good job of being cylindrical.

Bacon - you are more rotund than anything :)

Good point about being in public view.

If you are working with the public then you will be critiqued by... eerrrr... the public.
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Bob - wtf is a 'finantially' ?

P.S. Yes, as a matter of fact I am cranky. I just got home and realised that no there is not an iced coffee waiting in the fridge. This is an outrage.

Thanks for pointing out my errors Pete. I have corrected them for your perusal.

As long as I don't take KFC orders? Huh?

Oh, definitely be more fun. And I could work both jobs anyway, KFC then straight to poker. Its something I'm thinking about, though :)
