I remember last season James told me about how two poker beginners who managed to get to heads-up at the final table. He told them that it is important to play more aggressively in heads-up, play the player and not the cards etc etc. So one of the players, relying on James's sage advice, goes all-in with 7-2 offsuit and his opponent called while turning over pocket aces.

Yesterday at the big game poker managers final.

Final Table, 5 people left. Christine says "I have only watched a couple of episodes of poker on Foxtel. I still have no idea what i am doing".

She then manages to jag every card needed to take out her opponents in races.

Funniest moment, Guy has q 8 on an 8 6 6 board. He pushes all in as the shortstack. Christine calls. Shows j 6 for trips, the guy was shattered.

Get down to heads up, first is a trip for two to sydney and 2nd gets a night at crown. She just came back from sydney and didn't want it. So just loses her chips slowly.

Some other funny things that she did, but thought it was awesome. :-).

Probably a had to be there moment.

Alrighty, I'm playing with Zack at the Kinger. The night's just started and Zack is his usual... Zack self.

Zack and another runner are in the pot. There's some heavy betting and a raise. We get to the turn and the action is on Zack. Zack bets 300. Opponent looks at his cards. After about a minute, he makes a small motion with the cards, pushing them forward. Immediately, Zack turns his cards over (pocket 2s), beaming, thinking his bluff (higher cards on the table) worked. He thought the guy folded, see.

(Opponent's fingers never left the cards and the other 6 players on the table agreed it didn't look like a fold).

"Mate, what are you doing?"
"Oh... shit"

They finished the hand (Zack folded after the opp bet 1000, how could Zack call now?). Funny thing is, after all the cards were revealed, Zack's pocket 2s would've held up.

Hilarious.

Again, at the Kinger, had a friend stand up and start to walk away from the table - he had a full house, thought he lost. Garth pointed it out to my friend, actually. Luckily we've got such an on-the-ball state director. Friend ended up 5th.
