I see from the NPL website that we have a 3500 start stack this time (if my memory serves me correctly it was only 3000 at the arkaba)
should be good with a single flight.
i didn't make it to the state finals last time it was at the port club, what did everyone think of it? was there an increased stack there as well?

Re: State Finals Nov 2008
Start stack has never been as high as 3500.
The Port Club is good because it's all one flight but it's not so good because they didn't have pale ale, red bull, carlsberg, or food that was edible.
There is a nice pie shop not far away though

Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Re: State Finals Nov 2008
Yeah i guess they will have a little bit more time in the fact they won't need a couple of hours break between flights to set up the next one.
A bigger start stack will be awesome, but remember they will all be 20 minute levels (i think i read that somewhere). In the past i think they have all been half an hour levels, so maybe a bigger start stack is to compensate for this.
Massively looking forward to this.

Re: State Finals Nov 2008
on a broader topic, did everyone make it this year?
i had to rely on a FT in my last game of the season to make it - i was 7th, with 6th 4 points in front of me, and 5th 6 points in front of me going into the last game
at one stage i was down to 1500 with 1000 of that in the BB, but i managed to win that hand, and hang on by the skin of my teeth to grab 7th for the night, which was enough for me to grab 5th spot on the leaderboard.

I haven't checked, but I reckon it was 2.5k and that would have been season 1 (maybe season 2 as well) - 2007.
From memory, 3k would have really been stretching the chip resources at that point in time.
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!
