Well, first of all, it means the team who beat you isn't as far in front of you on the ladder as they could be - and it's a big difference (2 vs 6 I think?)
Secondly - morale - at least we didn't let them beat us outright!

Re: How disappointing are the Jellybacks!!
it wasnt a bad result as it could have easily been worse.
Although nobody likest to play for a draw it is still part of cricket and if it means restricting your opposition any way possible then they will take the draw.
Especially considering it could have been a overall loss.
That to me constitutes not a bad result.

Does anyone know how to make money playing uno vs 6 year olds, its about the only card game i get to play these days.

Re: How disappointing are the Jellybacks!!
if probably shows the state of SA cricket at the moment, when getting spanked all game and managing to hold on for a draw is a good result.
that was only his third innings for SA krunchie, he has only played 1 previous game.
hopefully maxi-boof gets back into some form and starts making runs at the state level again.

Yea that probably sounded harsher than i needed to, i just meant he had done very little, and now it was happening for him which was bound to happen.

Lets hope we can string some of these "not bad" results together and at the end of the season we can still have 0 points and finish bottom!

if we do, our oppostion wont be as far infront of us on the table as they could be and then when we do get our $hite together later in the season, we can pounce.

We're already 8 points out of the finals after 2 games... you have to remember only the top 2 play off.
If they are gonna pounce... it better be now... 7 games to go.

Krunchie, i know he is a mate of yours, but tell me how dropping tom plant, opening klinger and playing cosgrove in the middle order doesnt improve our team. Has to happen in my books. (not that cossy has passed 50 in a grade game yet this season - but hardly anybody has. i just think we are a better looking team with him in it)

hang on macka, i know plant failed twice in the last game but he did get run out by the other opener in the first innings.
he has actually made as many runs this season as kahnn, so give the boy his chance, he has been signed to the redbacks for 4 years topped the 2nd 11 batting trophy two years running, captains glenelg a grade and basically has had to murder people for his spot
and he is a local, give him is chance
1 maybe 2 more games thats all, dont condem the kid yet.
Also i have been informed by outside of the team sources ( not tom)
that adelaides team style for this season is too bat out innings, that is exactly why he has been in the team. because he can and does bat all day, dont forget he scored a hundred last year for the priministers 11 or somesuch team against MURILI, batted for nearly 2 days

Re: How disappointing are the Jellybacks!!
Its great to have some real competition for spots in the redbacks side finally. Cossy and Cam Borgas both belted hundreds in a second XI game, and andy delmont also made 80 odd (albeit against ACT). But its good that people in the actual side will have to put up or shut up.
Encouraging signs.
