Nathan Butler asks the chip leader, James, where he is from.

"Kingston."

Mr CBD then then asks,"And where did you qualify?"

"Err, Kingston ..." is the reply.

And we have a winner!

James Trott takes it down - Q5 spades v Q6 hearts.

The board brings no five for James ... but flushes on the river to hand him the win and entry into the 2009 Aussie Millions main event.

Congratulations, James

Edit: Ahh - you beat me to it, Tom :)

FYI Bruce, Kerry was the last remainisng B&Ger followed by Stevo, AK, heath and myself who all got top 40 finishes, so B&G did well considering
I'm gonna take over the world

I'm pretty awesome :P

Final placing was 6th.

Was knocked out by James (who had JJ) and it's always nice to see whoever knocks me out going on to do the right thing and win it all.

Funny moment of the day was getting AA very first hand and all I could think of was my last appearance at the Port Club and the ridicule I'd get for the rest of my life if I went out then :P

Happy to report that I raised, was re-raised, then I jammed it and my opponent seemed to actually be a little bit switched on and he laid down QQ. Ridicule successfully avoided.

Nitro was on the same starting table and just wasn't getting any respect for anything and got sucked out on a couple of times. He left looking visibly ill.

My allin on the BB where I had JJ was up against K2os and KJos. Wasn't entirely unhappy to see the K's screwing each other over and the J of no help to KJ.

Was a good day all round, expertly run by the staff (as it always is) and Carlos seemd to be in charge of photos so we might actually get to see some!
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

My hard luck story is letting Bennymacca get the better of me, t5his is how it go's according to my memory,

benny the cunt is BB blinds a 300/600/50, I'm just behind the button I get a playable hand, [ad] [10d] when it comes to my turn to play I raise to 1200.

Button and SB flod benny the cunt takes for ever and decides to push all with his remaining chips his total stack is 2100, other remaining players fold, now it up to me.

A quick check of my stack if I call it leaves me with about 700, and considering I have been grafting my way since starting the session with 2000 I have been up and down over a few hands with quick all in calls, aand player not will in to call let me steal blinds, I was wondering if benny the cunt is trying it on.

I decide to take him on, benny the cunt shows [8s] [7h] The flop no help to either of us I'm still in front I calling no 7/8 bugger benny the cunt hit with the turn and the river is no help to me, I'm all bt gone 1 hand left in my stack.

My time comes when I push allin with [ad] [3d] against another player who called with A K off he hits a king and its game over.
42.7 percent of all statistics are made up on the spot.

Gundog,

What are you doing min raising?

In that situation you should just be open shoving. You invest about half you stack and then contemplate folding?

I can't fault benny the cunt for shoving here as calling is not option, if he calls he has to call down on later streets.

But in your situation you played it badly and you should never try min raising when you are that shortstacked. At this stage of the game it is just shove or fold.
