Did you get Jammo to write that little sentence for you Steve??

Well, "DUMBO" getting carried away here, but that's still a decision even if it is a negative one. Geeeeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzz, haven't you learnt anything from reading all those books and wearing silly glasses?????

Calm down Bob, there's no need to get pissy over every little mistake that's made over the forum (yes, we get that's your joke).

Bob,

I know your sens of humor and there generally is no malice intended in your comments, but this is not the first time (nor am I sure it will be the last); but please be careful of the way your comments can be interpreted, Steve could and probably will take a certain amount of offense fromyour post.

Now if you want to offend him and that was your goal, then I will leave it up to the moderators to make a decision on what happens.

But Steve I am writing to tell you this is Bob's way of jokingly mocking you and not to be too offended by his off the cuff remarks.

yeah no worries Garth, i have met Bob on several occasions so im getting used to his wacky sense of humour

but i will stick to my guns as i feel a good player is determined by whats in his guts, i seem to play my best when im in that zone, mixing up my game and sometimes playing hands i normally wouldnt

im never gonna base my game on what some pro writes in a book because thats his game, not mine

while this is true steve, the simple fact is, they are a lot better poker players than us, so we can certainly learn from what they are saying.

i dont think the pro's writing the books are asking you to play exactly like them, but i figure if i can use information from anyone to add to my game to make me better, then i will do that. am i going to start playing exactly like anyone? no, but i might add elements of their game to mine, or play a hand slightly differently based on the information that was in the book

This would be the most truthful line ever told on this forum.
