Re: Ask Garth!
I just thought of another question to back up what I asked previously.
I made a decision to not play hands unless I am willing to have them 3x raised on me, however, I will limp in with small pockets such as 2-9's and will fold them if that hand is raised.
Would you consider it smart, tight or stupid poker?

Nevah do a google search for a program called pokerstove.
It is a hand ratings calculator.
So lets say pocket 2's vs top 10% of hands will give you a 40/60 Situation. Which means 40% of the time you will win vs the 60% of time they will win. So correct to fold. Yours to evaluate
As for pocket 9's becomes 47/53. Up to you if you want to give away some value out of the hand. But if there are a few extra blinds in the pot, some times it is correct to call, even if you don't like it.
Folding a 1k pot because you don't want to call $15 on the river.

Re: Ask Garth!
People often play low pockets rather wrong, they are probably the worst hand to play.
I suggest you continue to play them the way you do. Sometimes it is good to re raise with the range of 77 - TT. The others are worthwhile to limp with or call a raise, but you are 8 to 1 of hitting your set so you need to be offered some fantastic pot odds. If it's heads up re raise the initial raiser, 50% of the time for the next few weeks and see how you go.
Experiment with different forms of playing that certain hand and see what works best for you.

Re: Ask Garth!
This question can be answered by Garth, but if anyone else wants to jump in I'd love to hear some feedback.
I'm playing a tourny atm and my stats look like this:

Is that too low a % for flops? I think it is... yet I've got 16,000 at 300/600, just below avg stack. As you can see I've won all showdowns. Thing is, my stats were similar (not as tight) yesterday when I won. Still... I find myself laying down QJ/KJ/A9 etc to raises, and I'm often right, guess I just feel I'm too tight sometimes.
Its working though! Anyway, just after some opinions.
