Hi ya Garth..

Well, I started to email you, then I ended up deciding to put my thoughts into the forum, then the page didn't load correctly once I typed it in, so I cracked the poops, then decided I would try again tonight instead (thankgod for notebook).

Anyway... What I basically said was..
I tried to answer you over and over again in the other section asking for input, but couldn't get the page to allow me to, so I figured if it was important enough one of the site moderators could move my post.. :?

But in essence, I just wanted to say it is always great to see you asking us the players for input into NPL and I had a few ideas as to how you could get responses on both a private level and also get honest answers, ask if you want them.

I did also say that it was fantastic to see just how much you do listen to what we have to say, for example lets use the prize packs. I remember you asking us what we wanted and bingobango, there they are on offer this season.
It was truly awesome to hear those that do not contribute to the forums in this manner saying how impressed they are with the prizes on offer.

However, I do read all the ideas put in there and get frustrated by the fact so many of them are out of reach and also I can't help but feel that to a degree, so many players are now becomming spoiled brats in a sense.

I also remain concerned that there are so many ideas floating around, that I can only imagine you becomming bogged down by more and more suggestions until NPL becomes this huge complicated mess.

However, maybe these are not my worries to take on, I don't know, but I do know that this season really REALLY shows just how many of our thoughts and suggestions are taken on board and for that I am personally appreciative.

Anyway... maybe this post makes sense, maybe it doesn't, I am hoping it does.

Thanks again Garth..

While we're talking to Garth, I just wanted to say I had my first chance to see what was on offer for the final table players on Tuesday nite.

I must say I was surprised at the absence of FFT's and I didn't see if 3rd got anything as I was getting a drink. But 2nd got a hat and voucher, first got a trophy and key ring plus venue voucher.

I thought the card guards were a great idea for the winner but I suppose the muti winners would be saying what the hell do we do with them all? Well I use my one and only every time I play.

I also miss winning the diffewrent coloured final table key rings of old. I have them hanging on display in my computer room along with some other trophy's from my past.

Thanks for the very kind words Caroline.

I do try my best to implement as much feedback as I receive as well as make changes so we limit the amount of negative feedback or make changes where it is required.

This year we are going to be taking huge steps to try and survey as many of our players as we possibly can. As well as to come up with some new and innovative ideas.

Season 2 will see the launch of cash buy in events in both states. And I am excited to hear feedback on the new competition structure moving into season 3.

It's an exciting year for NPL and there are several more huge announcements not far away.

Hi Bob,

Card guards were getting old as we were only receiving the same type again and again. I like the new key rings and it's something different for the winner.

3rd receives a stubby holder, and apart from the new hats, they will be out in week 3, I really like these, they look good and work a treat. Anyone else like the stubby holders?

1st also receives a silicone bracelet. I eventually want to build up a similar WSOP attitude amongst NPL players; how many bracelets have you won? And I have an idea boiling away at the back of my head for an invitational tournament for those who have x amount of bracelets.

FTT's we received today in Port Melbourne. Quite the stuff up there. I ordered them in the first week of September, we paid for them a few days later but for some reason our supplier didn't order them with the manufacturer until November. To say I was a little annoyed was an understatement and I am sure you would have enjoyed that phone call as I don't often get angry or raise my voice, but this phonecall received a standing ovation from all in the office once I hung up.

We hope to have FTT's out to all RM's by the end of next week.

Maybe moving into season 3 or 4 we might see the return of keyrings, but I believe most players don't care what the final table token is as long as they receive something and we have built this competition structure for 2009 around FTT's.

:) No problem Garth.
I must confess, the changes next year are something I look forward to also, but I am also someone that fears really big changes like that.. lol..

There is absolutely no doubt that the NPL staff with do a fantastic job!

Thanks for your reply Garth. It's funny how a simple post like "GARTH" can get a different reaction or thoughts from people like myself and JJ who can air their queries and then get a good and fast reply.

You know I'm not one for piddling in your pocket but, it is really good to see you back on the forum warts and all M8. ;)

benny the cunt, I was stating the obvious side of the singular name "GARTH" not "ASK GARTH". I'm well aware of the other site benny the cunt.
