mine is a ported number, and it also works fine

Gee Steve your being a bit of a big girl about receiving a fw sms's.

Crikey I happy to receive them and I dont seem to have a problem and I'm on 3 also, I suppose you spun out about the spam sms's that 3 send as well.
42.7 percent of all statistics are made up on the spot.

I had to have a whinge to receive them cos my details got stuffed up :)

I think it's a good idea, as long as the SMS is actually sent before the event and not while I'm standing in the venue already.

Just a thought, but receiving the SMS for a venue (ie the Kentish) on the day is probably too late notice for most people. If nobody has heard anything (and in particular when the website says something different!) then there's every chance they've already made other plans by the time you've even sent the SMS.

Send it about a day before, that way it gives a bit of notice and there's no excuse for forgetting.
