Not every thing turns into an argument, there's a great deal of good healthy discussion and debate ( I point you to the current discussion about prizemoney in tennis).

It's worth remembering that how *you* read something isn't going to be the same way everyone else does. Also that a lot of the SA guys know each other in person and are more prone to having what is actually a friendly dig but may not seem that way to those not in the know.


Having said that, if a person makes a clearly ridiculous statement then you can put your house on it that someone else will say "um, that's ridiculous".

i can not play limit tried to once and same thing happened my big hands got out drawn because you can get rid of chasers for a set amount.....not even gut shoters i found out that night. ill stick with no limit thank you.

The other thing to think about is that generally you only ever remember the hands where you lose and not the hands that are just your every day hands that go according to the percentages (i.e. AA beating some random hand). It's a psychological trait that humans recall out of the ordinary events much easier than "normal" or everyday events that are common. This is why people always say "I never win with AA" or "I always get sucked on on the river" when actually it's because they only ever remember those hands and forget the many other hands that actually hold up and they take down the pot just like they were expecting.

Try recording every hand (or use hand tracking software such as poker tracker if you are playing online) and you'll see that you don't always get sucked out on the river and in the long run the times you win when you are ahead will be fairly close to the actual mathematical percentages. Also remember that an 80% favourite is only an 80% favourite, you will actually lose 20% or 1 in 5 times! There aren't many times when you will be an absolute lock on a hand, so you can't expect to win absolutely every hand, especially when playing limit as people are more likely to be priced in to chase their outs.
