Re: DEXTER
Actually yeah, it is finished. I watched it and didn't realise I'd finished the season.
I just finished watching seasons 1 and 2 again with a mate who hasn't seen it.
I love it.

Re: DEXTER
I just finished season two again. Watched it with my best mate who hadn't seen any and has now watched the first two seasons with me. He doesn't really like TV, or TV shows in general but has fallen in love with this show.
I got so much out of watching it again as well. Absolutely brilliant.
It's one of the best shot, best cast shows I've ever seen. Left of centre with many of the scenes make it very macabre and eerie.
The use of colour, be it clothes, wall paint or general scenery capture Miami's dirty and clean nature all at the same time.
The best part of the show is the narration, in real time. What Dexter is thinking that second, rather than looking back. The camera angles and slowed down shots really add to this, emphasising him as who you want to watch.
The characters are brilliantly cast and written for. I can't read the book now without picturing them in the show which proves how well they were chosen. The description of Masuka is spot on. No one is out of place on the show, even Jimmy Smits brings quality to season 3.
If anyone hasn't seen this, you should. Get hold of a season at a time and dive in, seriously.

Re: DEXTER
I've read the books after seeing all the seasons. You know how you read a book and a movie is made out of it, the movie is never anywhere near as good as what the book is? In the case of Dexter, the books are nowhere near as good as the show. Still enjoyable, but I found they seemed a bit rushed and weak in parts.

Yeah I'll grab the last two. I saw Seven Pounds at Gold Class when it came out.
