i'm hoping walker has a similar first year to westhoff. That would be the best result.

If the Crows make the 8 this season, i'll be very happy. I think its our one down year that we need.

Craigy just doesn't throw the kids in, which is a shame sometimes. You never know if they'll shine. It would've been interesting to see how he handled gibbs if we'd gotten him. Coming in his 3rd season, he's gonna run riot, but can't say the same about our kids... Although Gibbs is a freak.

Steve, i love the Porsche as well. So much heart, as well as balance and poise

did you watch last season AT ALL bacon?

mcleod and edwards rarely played on the ball, and goody only hand stints in there.

standard midfield was van berlo, knights, shirley vince

how is that not throwing the kids in there?

i think craigy did it well last year

Crows wont make the 8 this year.

If I'm wrong (which according to this forum I always am) then I'll do nothing.

It's so damn hard picking spots.

Crows 10th (9th-11th)

Port 8th (7th-9th)

benny the cunt, when i say kids, i mean 1st year players. I don't think shirley can be called a kid either.

You won't see sloane play full games on the ball, not like rich or robinson will this year, or Palmer did last year.

I feel Craig tries to protect 1st year players too much. Sometimes they aren't ready, but unless u put them in the heat of it for sustained periods, u won't know.

Mackay was probably the exception.

Case in point, craig wants dangerfield to be 'perfect' this year, why not just give him a go?

Because Dangerfield doesnt want to be in Adelaide and has stepped on Craig's toes. Thus Craig wont give him a game until he pulls his head in.

fair point

but then again, the crows haven't had a top 10 pick in a while - usually the other players take a while to come on and play some good footy

top 5 players are ready play already, and players like palmer are rare

i think if a player warranted selection, they would get it

Palmer was going to be pick 3, if Carlton didn't get Judd.

They were that keen on him.

They would have taken Kreuzer, and Palmer.

i do see two sides to the argument.

take stiffy for example. He demanded to be played with his first season Nab form. But he was given that chance to play nab first...

I'd go as far as saying that Petrenko is doing the same. We shall see.

Yet Sloane has been training well from all reports, but doesn't get a chance to show it in game situations.
