For the record, Mike Patton has one of THE best male voices ever in music. Epic, and most of Angeldust is no way an indication of his voice. Extremely powerful.

He was 21, from memory, when they recorded Epic.. and he changed a lot after that.

Not many people can sing such great heavy songs like Diggin the Grave and others... then go and cover Easy, I Started a Joke, and Glory Box.

You should recognise talent when you hear it David. Chester has a WAY better voice than whoever the guy is in FNM, possibly one of the best male voices of our generation.

Wondered how long it would take Aaron to get in this thread. Turned out to be around 8 minutes. Its like he can sense when people talk about linkin park.

On a slightly serious note (not sure if this is a hijack or not, but), what bands would people / have people travelled for?

I was tempted to go and see Coldplay in melbourne this year, but was pov at the time so couldnt, but i cant think of many more i would travel for (that wouldnt come to adelaide anyway).

Id be interested to hear about which bands and how far people have travelled before?

Went to Adelaide for Linkin (everyone cram it), that's the furthest I've gone. Would probably go outside the state to see Sick Puppies.

I met Chris Martin in the lobby of the Hilton circa.. 2000? I reckon it was then anyway. Talked for about half an hour - mainly because I'd had 5 pints by then (after work).

I didn't even realise at the time they were in Adelaide, and when he asked if I was coming to the show (Thebby) I said honestly, that I didn't realise they were playing.

H took out a business card, and asked my name - and wrote down a plus sign .. and asked "How many friends would you like to bring?" I said "four?" and he wrote down a "+4" after my name.

Unfortunately I got there a little late but still saw most of the show after thinking on the way there with four friends "I bloody well hope he put my name on the door else I'll look a right idiot!"
