Paparazzi Lounge

Postby Conspiracy Theorist » Fri Mar 20, 2009 6:24 pm

Received a sms today (20-3-9) regarding the cancellation of events at paparazzi lounge.

Im quite disgruntled by this.

Wasted my thursday night and the $35 it cost me to stamp up.

What will happen with the results.

Will last nights top five be going to state final. ( I wasnt one of them)

Is it also a waste when you go to a movie, and don't enjoy the ending?

Is it a waste when you pay to see your football team, and they lose?

NPL poker is entertainment, with added benefits. Your $35 was spent on food and drink, you got your monies worth.

An event folding after one game is disappointing, but really, it's not the end of the world.

And generally, the Top 5 stands (it has in the past in Adelaide, however Garth was talking about a 3 game minimum at one point in time)
I'm not perfect. I'm what perfect aspires to become

It could be argued.

Really. Were you there? That was the most amount of money I have ever spent at an NPL event. And for what? Absolutely no chance of making the final through that venue, which, entertainment or not, we are all here to do.

An event folding after one game is disappointing, but really, it's not the end of the world.

I didnt say it was. But it is a disgrace. The venue only operated for total of 5 weeks.

We ceased to operate events at this venue for reasons that were many.

The main reason is that it was an unsafe environment and our contractors and players did not feel 100% completely safe operating in this venue.

I played at the venue 4 out of the five weeks it operated and never once felt unsafe or uncomfortable.

If NPL felt that way about this venue then why was a new season allowed to begin?

questions are definitely allowed, but you are implying that NPL stopped playing there just to screw you over

and if they charged you 35 bucks for stamps, then just go somewhere else where its cheaper. pretty simple

No. Im not implying that at all.

NPL didnt do anything on purpose. Im frustrated at the implications of the situation.

Do you understand now.
