That's exactly what I was thinking Scott.

Except it seems you can use a passport (the red one?) AND fork out cash for the add-on.

For the standard rebuys during the first session (hour?) it's cash OR passport (green?) but I reckon if I dont have to stamp the green to be able to use the red then I'll just be handing over cash (bound to be cheaper).

I can see the general NPL public getting quite confused and the overall message would end up something like "if the white's in front of the pink, pot the brown".

:D
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Basically what it means is that passports can be used for chips in addition to 'normal' rebuys. In that way the venue isn't essentially taking funds out of the prize pool by having people stamp up instead of rebuy.
Riskers gamble, experts calculate.

Yep but it's the 'at the same time as' bit that's going to get confusing as to exactly how much someone can rebuy/addon for and at which point in time.

Keep in mind most of them probably won't have played a rebuy event and will just look silly and gurgle 'eerrrggghh?'

But Garth said you are most likely to be having a few drinks regardless, so you might as well use the passports too!

ok, so the passports are essentially "free" addons, and can be used in addition to a cash addon/rebuy

so..

buyin gives you 2K,
double addon for 20 bucks gives you 4K
passports are worth 2K and 4K respectively, assuming you keep 1 till the break

so if you make it to the break without rebuying, and then you make a double addon, you will have 12K?

Okie...

let's pretend I've stamped up...

We sit down and I can instantly rebuy using the green stamp card. So if the starting stack is 2k I now have 4k.

If I want to rebuy from then (let's assume from busting out) until the first break I need to fork over $10 cash for a standard rebuy (giving me 2k) or I have the option of a double rebuy for $20 (giving me 4k).

I also have the option of rebuying at any time (before the first break) for $10 if my stack gets down to 2k (starting stack size) or lower.

If I make it to the break I can then add-on using my red stamp card OR cash for however much an addon is worth (I forget now) which gives me an extra <insert amount here cos I forgot> in chips OR I have the option of using BOTH my red card AND cash which would make it a double add-on which will give me <double the amount you inserted earlier> in chips that can be added to my stack.

I think that's daft but it basically guarantees the red stamp card being filled.

Is that correct?

Calling Garth

Please Garth spell this out in simple terms at the moment I am not on top of whats going to happen and how.

Buy In X $ = (insert amount)

Rebuys for the 1st Hour $10 = (insert amount)

When can rebuys be made.

A green card is worth (insert amount)

A red card is worth before the break = (insert amount)

A red card at the break = (insert amount)

A red and green card at the break = (insert amount)

single addon x $ = (insert amount)

Double addon x$ = (insert amount)

I think that the lot.

A couple more questions

What time is registration due to start.

Due to the distance of travel and being a friday night and the limited seats available can some consideration be given for pre registration for country players more than a 100k from Adelaide

Buy In X $ = $10 An equipment hire charge of $5 will be charged to all players.

Rebuys for the 1st Hour $10 = 2,000 in chips, can be bought when your stack is equal to or less than the start stack.

When can rebuys be made. See above, standard rebuy rules apply. NPL freeroll tournaments are actually rebuy tournaments but we limit the amount of rebuys, this event will be an unlimited rebuy event.

A green card is worth (insert amount) 2,000 and applies under the same rules.

A red card is worth before the break = (insert amount) 2,000

A red card at the break = (insert amount) At the add on break the red passport can be used for a double add on.

A red and green card at the break = (insert amount) you are kidding me right? 6,000

single addon x $ = $10 for 2,000 in chips, as previously stated.

Double addon x$ = $20 for 4,000 in chips.

I must stress that there is a slight deviation from the rebuy rules, as we will allow a red passport to be redeemed as a double add on and then a cash addon can be purchased.

I think that the lot.

A couple more questions

What time is registration due to start. Same time as listed everywhere else

Due to the distance of travel and being a friday night and the limited seats available can some consideration be given for pre registration for country players more than a 100k from Adelaide Unfortunately no, we have plenty of room and will not be limiting the amount of runners.
