It'd be hard not to, that's for sure.
Qatar are in third place in our group and we've already played them twice so that means they are unable to take points directly away from us and it's much much harder for them to catch up.
Japan (2nd place) also beat them 3-0 and that only helps us more.
It'd be a Greg Normam proportioned choke from here if we don't qualify.

Re: 2010 Football World Cup Qualification
i was lucky enough to be in bahrain last night to watch the match, and it was clear that we were outplayed for the majority of the match. it was something like 12 shots to 5, and we never really tested their keeper until the third and last minute of injury time when brecsiano pounced on a loose ball to put us in front.
To be honest we didnt really deserve one point, so to get 3 is amazing. Its predicted that we will need 15 points in order to be safe from our 8 games, and we already have 9 after 3. So we only need 2 wins from our last 5 games to be assured of quilification. We should sh1t it in.

Japan vs Australia at the mcg would be a good game to attend

Let me know if you do go Steve!
Seeing as Optus now sponsor the FFA and I work at Optus, we get early dibs on some tickets.
Should be able to help you out.

So are you booking a flight and wanting a ticket or did you just wish to declare your love for me?

Uzbekistan tomorrow night!
They've just beaten Qatar 4-0 so will definitely be an interesting match.
By all accounts Harry Kewell is fit and in form, has scored something like 10 goals for Galatassary in about 25 matches and for a midfielder that's exactly what you're after.
A goals to matches ratio of anything like 1 in 3 is very good for a midfielder.
For a striker you're looking for 1 in 2 (but good luck getting it).
If we win this match we're a bee's wang away from certain qualification!
