I'm famous for my 'favourite hand' and am yet to decide whether visiting the forum site serves me any purpose.

Over to you.

Welcome sticky

Because of a certain thread you started you may have the opinion that your voice does not wish to be heard here on the forum ( my own coments included ),
I am here to tell you that is not the case.

Every voice is valuble on this forum the more we have the better it is.

I can tell you from experience that this forum is worth your time and effort, because as well as meeting a few of my fellow forumers who all turn out to be excellent people ( some of which i now count as my close freinds), but i have also found this to be an excellent place to throw up discussion points and ideas and generally become a better player due to the help offered on this site.

Again welcome and here's to hoping you giving the forum and the NPL a little longer trial before you decide to go your seperate ways.
Does anyone know how to make money playing uno vs 6 year olds, its about the only card game i get to play these days.

Krunchie, I'll stick around and see what comes of my thread-post career...

G'day all. Long time viewer, first time poster.....

Name's Dave and I play mostly in the Metro South West area. Depending on the ever changing work roster I'm found at the Tonsley (Sun/Mon), Marion (Tues/Thurs), Watermark (Wed), Brighton Metro (Fri), Flaggies (Fri/Sun). Occasionally make an appearance at Checkers on a Tuesday night, Red Square on a Thursday night and the Strath on a Friday morning.

Started playing poker in other leagues North West probably about 18 months ago. Have been playing NPL consistantly for about a year now, and starting to find my feet in it. Made the satellite event and regional teams event last season, and currently sitting pretty to date this season.

Anyway, back to lurking the threads.

Does anybody know hoe big the 'lurker' population is? when i think of the forum, i think of a relatively smallish group of regular posters, but i have always wondered exactly how big the total forum community is?

So common lurkers, introduce yourself - even if its only for one post. We would love to meet you

Hey Shannon Rogers Here aka SpiffyBucks on 888 :D

I have just recently moved down from Queensland to the Barossa region as this is where my Partner is from and just signed up for 888PL last night in Nuriootpa ( I really enjoyed the night finishing 2nd to Gordy's Pocket 8's up against my pocket Jacks, with Gordy hitting his Trips on the flop leaving me to pray to the card god's which failed lol hencing the reason I came 2nd lol... But it was great meeting so many new and wonderful fellow poker players, I tip my hat to your outstanding hospitality, thank you for making me feel welcome here in SA and as a New 888PL Player... Cheers)!

As anyone that has lived or been to Qld would know it is a major weather difference down here lol. But thank god for very warm clothing lol Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr.... It is an amazing region the Barossa and I look forward to meeting you all along the way in a poker Tourney somewhere as I take on my new life down here in South Australia :)

I have been playing Texas Holdem Poker for around 6 years now online and in Pub Venues through out Brisbane with APL  As with now living down here and new to 888PL, I really love the structure of there Poker and the amazing events they hold for us avid poker players! I really love the Idea of the Points System of being able to play on or offline.... that's a first for me and I really love the Idea, kudos to 888PL :) On that note I would like to send a shout out to the Tournament Director from last nights-event that signed me up for 888PL, Sorry the name slips me, but I think it was "Tom" Sorry if Incorrect, but he was very friendly helpful and ran a very professional tourney which I really appreciated, so thank you very much Tom, I really appreciate it :)

That's all from me for now..... Thank you all for your time and I really look forward to meeting you all around the tables at a poker tourney some day very soon :)

Take care and stay safe :)

Shannon

Best first post ever or what?

Great to have you here Shannon, welcome to the forum, and 888pl in general. Glad to hear you're enjoying BG, too :D
