Why would someone bother sharing a poker experience if, as a new member, I would be shot down for creating a thread asking for your opinion whether this game is about skill or luck.

If my comments/threads are not welcome here, then I might aswell withdraw from playing npl aswell.

The thread was a good point, yes. It was the way you went about it that I had a problem with. As Muzz said, you were being overbearlingly cryptic. What purpose does that serve but to annoy?

Your comments/threads are always welcome, as are anyone else's. We value input, and new members. Hope there's no hard feelings mate :D

Well obviously I should have used cue cards.

And thus, this is my last post.

Sorry to see you go mate.

People seemed to react to the thread in the manner they did due to the two mutually exclusive issues put forward as one question.

Skill vs luck? Always a good topic for discussion. We've had many on here in the past.

Players being overly aggressive (in a non-poker sense) towards other players? If it's as bad as you say, the TD would be well aware of it both empirically and through player feedback (I hope, otherwise it's those players' own fault for not reporting it) - and the player in question would have been banned.

Again, sorry to see you depart.

I just re-read the thread from the start.

Despite your original post being quite cryptic, you actually did receive some good answers from people even though they didn't really understand motivation for your post.

As with anything online, take things with a grain of salt. Take a step back and realise that maybe you were slightly cryptic in what you wrote and people reacted.

And no, you don't need cue cards but honestly... being a forum, and having such a range of people reading, you DO need to be slightly more specific when posting.

Sad to see you go - but I hope you change your mind.

a cryptic sticky note now a victum of forum bully/ies.

i'd like to defend 'stick note'
[as a new poster to this forum]. and his/her first post and encourage him/her to return ... expierenced posters found it hard to comprehend his intentions and his contribution sure it was cryptic but it did creat interesting reading and solicited replies and discussion and even the moderators read ' Forum Police' to defend his/her actions.

...luck or skill

please advise luck or skill wins these two have seen hands..

1/. UTG goes all in with Pocket 2, s BB the only other player to call the 18000 blinds 600/1200 .... flop/turn river dont help BB as the pocket 2's take down the BB's A K o

Luck or Skill ??

2/. Pos 3 calles 600 ... BB no harder.
flop 2 6 8 Pos 3 goes all in ... BB immediately calls....

BB shows 2, 2 Pos 3. shows A A ..

flop Q river A ....... Luck or Skill... ???

8-)  :? :o :(  ;) :D
