And for the record, I'd put my life savings on Aaron Davey never being the captain of the Melbourne Football Club.

Bugger got the name wrong oh well such is life.

Where did I say captain of the club, I think it was future leader of the club, most clubs have a leadership group.

Yes we have been in the football wilderness for a lot of years and this was the clubs own doing, Melbourne was a powerhouse club but it's split with the MCC and the sacking of Norm Smith in fighting that along with wasted money recuiting hacks (Tillbrook) and favorite sons (Ronald Dale)to coach them were ill conceived.

The AFL did us no favors by forcing us to play home games away from the G at Optus Oval, VFL Park and Docklands, in one year we played Carlton twice a home game and an away game both at Optus oval, we also did ourselves a diss service by selling home games to Brisbane and Camberra. The Hawthorn/Melbourne merger was another bad decision lucky it failed thanks mainly to Don Scott.

But at the end of the day I am a member and supporter of my football club of which no matter where we are on the the ladder I will support them with my last breath never to be a turncoat.

And Just for the record I'm also a loyal supporter of South Sydney RL Club, when we were outcast by the then ARL I started to support the Melbourne Storm, who will remain my 2nd team but the Bunnies are back.

Leadership group, to me, are players who show captain-like-qualities even if they aren't. My point was, I don't think he has these.

And yes, I know you love your club gundog, and that's commendable. But that doesn't change the fact we are allowd to compare Richmond of today, with Melbourne of today.

To say there is "no comparison" is silly.

Both of them are 'not good' so yes, he (and everyone else) can compare them :)
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!
