Cash buy-ins don't allow you to sit with your mates - seating is allocated (well, tables are anyway). Which combined with the aggressive nature of the blinds, is going to cause a few problems with player retention I think.

That's mostly true but you can't really ignore that a cash buy-in event can (and should) have more to do with the money on offer as a prize.

Once again I totally agree with you Pete. The buddy thing is okay on freerolls to a degree.

After reading AK's post I'm just wondering how bad it's going to be at the Wheaty Tuesday night!!!!!!

With the short blind and ante structures going up so fast and the preflop pots being somewhat larger than normal, the grab for cash sounds like animals in a feeding frenzy on a dead carcase.

I was really hoping the introduction to CBI's would help produce a better game rather than what we are sometimes subjected too in a Freeroll game.

Is it worth going to the Wheaty or not as it's gonna be the same people there and the only differences will be the additional buyin costs?????
