That tournament was the Regional Teams Event. It was held on Saturday evening.
It was an intense competition. The best of the best from each region in South Australia were there to show that the best players in the state reside in their respective area.
Five hours of tournament. The best and the most consistant players took part.
Some faltered... some failed... some provided glimmers of hope...
Regions walked in only to have their dreams destroyed.
Upon the ashes of the rest of the state rose two teams - two teams of breathtaking skill, ability, and prowess.
Two teams of aspirations. Two teams of fine mettle. Two teams of undeniable greatness.
But only one was to achieve the pinnacle of success.
