420. Which gives plenty of time to make it to Checkmates 1st cbi game, Which i hope to attend.

Garth, i like the idea of using forum to gain an invite. We can have a forum freeroll to determine a winner :-)

I'd be happy to have a forum CBI
42.7 percent of all statistics are made up on the spot.

I can sort of understand the confusion with winning the ticket. Winning a ticket worth $50 implies you can also buy one without winning it.

If you can't buy a ticket, then really, you're winning entry into a tournament.. regardless of value.

The ticket is only worth $50 if someone else can pay $50.

Yeah, I'm with David on this one - might send the wrong message to market it like that.

or does $50 from each player go into the prize pool meaning 100 qualifiers will satisfy the 5k guarantee?

garth did say that should u win 2 tickets, u can sell one off for a value of $50.

Can u do that with the one ticket, should u not be able to make the event?

The ticket puts $50 into the prize pool, that's its value.

Being able to buy straight in makes playing a regular cbi redundant. Having a 50$ value means should u be invited, then u will still have to pay this (i gather).

I don't have any issues with it.

As I said I don't have any issues with it, I can just see how it's confusing. It implies on some level you can buy a ticket for $50, or win one (worth obviously, $50)

The fact the money comes out of nightly events doesn't change that - any money from any event the NPL holds goes towards yearly/season prizes.

I'm ok with it, I was just understanding the confusion.
