Everything is fine at your end then.

Dunno wtf they're doing with your connection. Suspect you are being migrated.
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Best way to see if it's working, or where it's not, is to access the router. Opening up IE or something and going to a site to see if you can get on doesn't really tell you much.

Access the router in your browser, and see what it says. It could say "connected" which would mean there's something else wrong.

Usually, depending if you've changed the setup, you can access the router with http://192.168.0.1, http://192.168.0.254, http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.1.254

If one of those works, it'll load up your router login screen. From there you can snoop around and see what it says, usually the front page has some information about if you're connected or not.

Some routers won't work unless you reboot them through the web interface rather than a hard reset. Others are different again.

Hmm I forgot to re-read some posts - have you contacted Adam yet?

Getting to a site that tells you you're suspended is usually the giveaway that it's working, I thought :)

We do the same thing at work.

It even goes to great lengths of saying in words that "there is nothing wrong with your internet connection" but we still get people ringing and asking what that means.

HELL TO THE YEAH!!

Finally back on line. But it was mostly my fault.

Coincidently, on the day i decided to upgrade my internet speed, i also decided to change my email password within the adam members area. This also changed my account password with adam, which conflicted with the user name and old password that i originally entered into my modem configuration.

So once we had worked this out, it should have been easy for Mr. Nice-man-tech-support at adam to simply change my password back. So he did that, but for some reason (which took us ages to find out) my modem configuration had defaulted back to a blank username and password.

So now im sorted, it wasn't Adam's fault at all, simply my non-nerdness that screwed everything up.

And yay i can play poker again.

well the decision was made Monday morning to go with TPG I completed the application on Line at 4.30am just before going to work, by 4PM they had responded with confirmation of my account and configuration details.

Another email Tue advising of the progress of connection and another today a 6PM advising connection is now active.
