Can u do that with the one ticket, should u not be able to make the event?

The ticket puts $50 into the prize pool, that's its value.

Being able to buy straight in makes playing a regular cbi redundant. Having a 50$ value means should u be invited, then u will still have to pay this (i gather).

I don't have any issues with it.

Garth said they can be "transferred" between players. So you can read between the lines there.

What was that noise?????????????????

It sounds like the "penny just dropped" for you M8. :o

And guess what? It will multiply even faster because some venues have larger entries where they take an additional $50 for 2nd and 3rd placings.

And if that were to happen there's a good chance they'll rake in more than 100 runners and exceed the $5,000 if NPL invite additional non placed players. ;)

I'd like to add a little to the above.

I believe any player who has won one or more $50 entry fee can either play the Invitational $5,000 themselves or sell them off to another player or players. Because it's a cash buyin and it was also part of his or her prize money they can sell their entry. :)

I also think they could sell their $50 seat for more if someone were desperate enough to want to pay more. :?

But it's not a cash buy in.

If I have cash, I can't buy in.

Todd you have actually payed for those seats as the $50 is taken from your prize money.

So, you have multiple choices.

You can give it away,
sell it for face value of $50
or make a few bucks and sell it to someone who wants to go for what ever they are prepared to pay
or just do nothing with it at all.

so what are you saying,
you could use it as a tourney stake

find a person you think is very likely to do well then give them the ticket with the expectation of taking a percentage of the winnings

mmmmmmmmmmmm interesting
Does anyone know how to make money playing uno vs 6 year olds, its about the only card game i get to play these days.

Usually 80/20, 60/40 if they FT (higher % for staker).
