Not me. I'll be at the Kinger on Sunday though. Head down maybe?

Nor is it anyone elses fault that you are used to being stamped up for nothing at the Kingy.

I don't think it's unfair to say that a venue that isn't necessarily the cheapest and doesn't get large numbers would not be terribly appealing as a CBI venue.

The reward for effort from winning would indeed seem pretty poor.
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Will NPL be introducing CBI events with different structures or entry fees? I am aware of a competitor that runs a once-a-month $50 deepstack CBI on a saturday afternoon that has paid over $1000 for first prize in the past. This kind of thing would appeal to the hardcorw players i think.

Are there any plans in the pipeline for something similar to this?

Probably true - although a venue that isn't necessarily the cheapest isn't appealing as a venue in general!

Played at my first CBI last thursday at the Maid of Auckland. largest field i have seen there before. Good night overall, unfortunately i didn't cash coming 7th. unluckily had the BB last hand before Final table and then got UTG on FT

Onto the structure, i think it needs quite a bit of fixing. the blind levels get way to large to quickly near the end. This is needed seeing as the amount of chips in play makes it necessary. Surely we dont need to be getting effectively a 8k starting stack.
Antes caused a big problem on the table i was on when they were introduced, some players didn't understand, but wouldn't admit it. some were throwing blinds in with antes.
The tourney was run extremely well, very professional. Willing to answer questions and working out troublesome pots to help out.

Stamp structure seems slightly overpriced, unless you are having a meal and a drink(all stamps done from this) and prizes covered anything spent and more for the top 5 places.

Will probably play one more this week and see what others think.

My point is, if a venue isn't great value in the past, then with CBI it's just going to cost more and still be not that great.
