Yeah, it's pretty darn rude.

Anyhoo back on topic.

I'd say the guy who tried to push allin did so as an afterthought and given that you mentioned he normally plays online I'd say he's paranoid about being called and probably only has 2 overs.

Up to you if you want that race or not and depending on how many chips the other 2 players who had already called have, you might want to push allin yourself (given it's 2/3 of your stack anyway) so you can isolate.

Mind you, there's no mention of what range of hands you've seen him play so for all I know he could only push with AA or KK.
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Or, he's fully aware of the rules in regards to string betting, and was angle shooting. ;)

If you want to take a flip, go for it. Be prepared you might be facing 2 outs though.

More to the Story

At the end of the hand

Danny shows pocket Jacks

Chole shows A Q off

I still maintain he was scared of being called.

Especially by things like A Q offsuit.

Some people do, at least in the same capacity that Dave explained. We had a new guy at the Kingy once who said he "wanted to go." He kept shoving all in and eventually tripled his stack.

Me: "I thought you wanted to go?"
Him: "Oh, well, I...'

He went on to finish like 3rd.

as much as I hate it, i'm sure it is never as simple as "i want to go home. period".

As David says, more likely to be
David wrote:"Well I don't care if I go, but if I'm still in **with lots of chips**, I'm happy about that too".

Perhaps some TDs should point out to punters they are perfectly free to hand their chips in if they wish to leave? With the cash element added, there might be a few tempers frayed if people do that.

Tho, to be fair, they've paid their monies, they can do as they wish with their chips - just 'cause we don't like it, doesn't mean they're no right to do it. Rude buggers ;-)

Shouldn't they remain in play? Eventually it will get blinded down. This is how crown does it. The chips remain and are dealt cards and the card are mucked before the first action from the UTG.
