Interesting article on the dearth of talent for an extra team or two.

http://www.news.com.au/adelaidenow/stor ... 28,00.html

I personally think the idea of extra teams is ludicrous, they should be looking at dropping teams.

If they are replacing those teams with others from a different part of the country (ie not Victoria), I'd have to agree.
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Until that happens it's impossible to consider it a 'fair' competition because there'll be advantages to other teams such as what regularly seems to happen with Collingwood barely playing otuside of Victoria.

Maybe people are just used to it and have subconsciously accepted it and/or given up, but I can't subscribe to that sort of thing being ok.

There may as well be a handicap system!

and yet you subscribe to an english premier league system which is way LESS fair than the current afl system. interesting

(btw malaysia and singapore love their EPL, and it was a lot better to follow with the extra coverage)

That's a completely dense thing to say benny the cunt :)

Although, if by 'less fair' you mean it's actually up to the clubs to manage themselves properly, then I agree.

Freo.

Can they win this week? Hawthorn are decimated, but freo don't do 4 straight .....ever? well, very often anyway.

I get the feeling it's one of those matches Freo could win, but I just can't see Hawthorn slumping to 3 - 5 either. We lost to the Hawks last year by only 15 at home, so that gives me some hope we can edge them out.

I'm wearing my Fremantle shirt today, so we'll see if that influences the outcome in any way.

I tipped Freo this week, for the first time in about 2 years.

They better repay my faith.

I wanted to tip my team this week, but I just don't think they have the form to beat Syd, especially not at Subi. And without Hunter.

I'm on something like 23 tips for the year. My highest has been 4. I suck.
