benny the cunt, I can't be arsed going to check, but do you 'lose' your remaining off-peak data allowance once you have used up your peak data allowance (and vice versa)?
The provider I work for had that system ages ago and no longer use it.

Re: Internetz
Yes you do. But they shape if you use your Upload before your Download now.
Just need to be aware of what you've used.

Re: Internetz
With all the talk about peak/off peak, I checked TPG to see how it effected me, I recalled when I was with Bigpuddle uploaads were included in data counts.
Fortunatly TPG dont.
From TPG
Upload traffic is not counted.
1 Consists of peak (9am - 4am) and off peak (4am - 9am customer’s local time) download quota. Speed will be shaped for the period in which the download quota has been exceeded (peak and/or off peak).

42.7 percent of all statistics are made up on the spot.

Re: Internetz
OK, i have a question that needs an experts opinion/answer.
Available info: I live 10kms from nearest town.
My Dial-up speed = 31.2kpbs (MAX!)
My wireless optus broadband speed = 56.1kpbs (@ home and even Renmark/Berri town centres) and it gets about 400mpbs when in Adelaide at absolute max.
How the hell can i get even "slow" speeds around 128kpbs - 256kpbs , which even though Ethiopia has faster speeds, that will still save me 3/4 of the time it takes me to do everything now.
eg. Download a 3-4MB song takes about 7-8 minutes.
Download a 450kb PDF document takes about 90 seconds.
Download a "Flash player" 3 minute clip from you-tube ect takes about 10 minutes.
Download Pirates 2: Stagnettis Revenge (Jesse Jane flick - you know!)
a 1.5 GB movie takes about a week with the phone connected 24 hours a day! LOL
Can someone help?!!!
PLEEAASE!!
