Why not play on-line then? I only ask, as I just had a conversation with myself about how much I'd be willing to pay.

More than $50 - why not just play on-line for a similar buy-in. Could only be for the "npl" aspect of it

$50 even - the person selling it would most likely have spent considerable time winning it and do I really expect them to part with it for sticker price only? (despite the fact it formed part of the arrangement they were willing to buy into)

Just curious.

All that said, I think the experience would be worth forking out more than the sticker price, but not a great deal more.

more for people that have 2 or more tickets rcon, and would want to sell a ticket.

i would be willing to pay 50 bucks for the ticket, and then give the person a stake in my winnings (maybe 10% or something like that, or even me pay less for the ticket for a higher stake for the person who's ticket it is)

the reason why i would want a live ticket instead of just spending the equivalent online, is that live poker is just sooooo much more fun. its all about the experience, which you just dont get in an online tourney

The advantages to playing online compared to NPL (in terms of $$$) have already been talked about enough.

I'm looking forward to this because it sounds like a good structure, will be an enjoyable, socialable day out, the quality of play will be a little bit higher and there's some chance that I could get a little extra money for the week.

this bit I get - i've suggested on here a number of times I think a market will develop for these "spare" tickets. Not a huge one, not initially anyway, but someone will find a way to game the SnG system sooner or later I feel.

pretty much why I'd dead keen to play in it.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to play in this tournament, but my reasoning seems more based on the "live" part than anything else, and I'm interested in hearing others thoughts on the matter.

there is no doubt that online is better bang for your buck whichever way tou look at it - u dont dont have to put pants on, you can multitable, you dont have to buy meals and drinks, you can play when you feel like it, you can play the game that suits you the most

BUT nothing beats that feeling when you wake up in the morning when there is a big event on such as the state finals (or championships or whatever)

to me it feels the same as when i wake up on the morning of a tennis grand final, and thats what sets apart live from online for me.

so, does anyone have a ticket that they want to sell at this stage?
also is this event going to be run as an event in the championship series?

It is what it is. A better sounding live NPl tournament then what we're usually accustomed to. Bar the Berri deepstack, this is the best one yet.
