Poker HQ?

Postby maccatak11 » Fri May 15, 2009 1:37 pm

Ok correct me if im wrong here, but i have read a little about some venues in VIC and NSW that are permanent free poker venues. i.e. lots of events per day, SNG tables running all the time, differenet vaiants of poker etc.

Is something like this planned for South Australia? With the ability to run CBI SNG games now, imagine a pub where you could go and play these every night of the week, and during the daytime too?

What do people think about such a concept? Is our player base in SA big enough to support something of this type. I imagine their setup would be similar to the poker area at the casino with numerous different games/events on at any one time.

And finally, are ring games (i.e. $1/$2, and without a rake obviously) legal in SA? Or is that a grey area. Would there be an hourly table-hire fee for these ring games??

Don't tease me. You'll make me want to get a job at the pub and live upstairs.

that would be awesome - i can see pubs just having a dedicated poker area with tables.

then players can go there whenever they want - pay a fee to hire the cards and the chips, and play a SNG together of whatever they wanted.

even if there was only 1 staff memeber there to oversee it all, similar to what there is now with the pokies.

a rumour i have heard might support the above, not sure as i am only hearing the information 3rd hand

If this seriously comes in I want a job at this pub, that'd be AWESOME.
