I folded. I didn't see benny the cunt shoving without a better hand. After the shove, I narrowed his range to 44/57. Had to be 44, I couldn't put benny the cunt on limping with 57. I told myself if he raised/shoved on me I was folding, and that's why I asked what would you do if you were raised/shoved on?

You better have had what you said you had.

Why not? You're in there with 8 6?

How much alcohol had been consumed to this point?

nah i really did have 57 for a flopped straight.

when u raised me to 12, i knew u had a strong hand because that board was fkn wet (bit like ur mum)

so i thought i would shove instead of flatting, because if you had a combo straight and flush draw, and the turn blanked, then i thought u would be able to get away from the hand

i really thought u would have snap called with 86, it was a great laydown

if i knew you were on 2 pair not a combo draw, i would have flatted, because as you have said, you were probably open shoving any turn card except for a diamond straight card.

so really, raising on the flop was your mistake. it allowed me to value shove with all of my strong hands, or bluff/semibluff as well as that board was pretty scary for anything but the made straight or top set. this put you in a super tough spot because you aren't sure if you are good any more.

if you had flat called and spiked the house, i was paying you off. if a flush card or a 9 or 10 came (possibly making a higher straight), i probably would have slowed down and you would have been able to get a cheap card for the river, or got to showdown cheaper.

as played though, it was a great fold, i think i would have snap called u there if our positions were reversed.

I think i would have thought about it, then called.

But then again, you are better than me AK. It was a great fold.
