Standard. Haven't played 888 in a few months, not looking forward to it when the freerolls start.

Ok so Garth has kindly agreed to forward on any constructive feedback we can offer about 888's poker software (see 888 software topic under Ask the NPL) and as we all know this is the best place to get the feedback happening.

So....let's hear it!

What do we like/dislike about it?

What are they doing well/not doing so well at?

What kind of improvements would we like to see as potential regular online players using 888's software?

Remember it's in our own interests as well to get some improvements happening as that's the software we'll be using in the new competition structure.

Please keep it constructive and on topic.

Scott, you play on multiple sites frequently so maybe you could start the ball rolling?
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

I don't think this will come anytime soon, but I'd really think about some new software. Even Party Poker updated and it is tonnes better than before. FT is probably my favourite software, followed by sites like Pokerstars, Carbon Poker etc. The current setup looks particularly bush league compared to other sites.
We've how about links I would like to know I walk the line scrunches line at how the client Lawrence etc. etc.

Looks like they've addressed some issues in the forthcoming update.

benny the cunt's right with the table action being announced, there needs to be an alert sound when the action is on you.

Cannot type in chat box if you are not in the tournament (ie observer chat)

Lobby structure is a mess

When you are reg'd for a tournament, and it kicks off, the tournament lobby closes itself for no reason

HH is effing awful (looks to have been addressed in the update)

Hand information during a game is non-existent; all you get is who won each hand

Cannot toggle chat on/off, only dealer info(and see above, it's hardly "info")

Ability to show hands after table folds (looks to have been addressed)

Re-buy tournament lobbies don't show the number of rebuys/addons

I have more, but will need to fire it up later to be reminded ;)

On the plus side, it's been my most profitable site in the last three months :)

for me its simple things - better graphics would be a nice touch, but you get used to them after a while.

clicking on the bet slider should increase your bet by 1 BB (like stars)

scrolling the mouse wheel should increase your bet by 1BB (not 1 chip as it is now, which is useless even at the 50/100 level and u wanna raise to 300)

table should auto popup and a sound should be played when its your turn to act, not just when time is counting down

if you close the table you are on, its hard to find the tourney you are actually in because the tourney lobby closes when the tourney starts (as scott said). so the other day i accidentally closed a table and spent like 5 mins trying to find the tourney i was registered in

shortcut keys are excellent, it was the best thing about pokerroom when i used to play there. same with typing into the bet box and pressing enter for your bets.

being compatible with poker tracker would be awesome - im not sure how i used to play without it

a cleanup of the lobby including the different game/buyin filters would be good - i think stars does this the best

the sorting of the lobby by columns i.e buyin etc seems to be a bit clunky - makes it hard to find tourneys that you like and are in your price range etc.

i know thats a long list, but to me its all little things that could get rectified pretty quickly

you cant reduce the screens down enough to multi table without pop up.

I like the other sites where i can have up to 4 games on my screen at once.

888 cant even have 2 without overlap.

most of the other issues have either been covered by benny the cunt or being fixed in the next update
Does anyone know how to make money playing uno vs 6 year olds, its about the only card game i get to play these days.

I'll leave the functionality side of it to others, as they'd be more familiar with what's out there than I would.

Instead I'll add that as far as being pleasant on the eye goes - it really could do with some improved looks. It's important to remember that functionality is far more important than looks but at the same time looks do matter.

I understand the colour scheme is probably that way for a reason, and is not about to change - and that's fine. Nobody is asking for a rebranding or anything.

The overall resolution seems quite low - it reminded me of the early Sierra pc games (Kings Quest, Space Quest etc). Making things seem smoother and/or crisper would definitely not hurt.

Could probably do with some more Avatars (for those that like to see them).
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Dam right!

I am clocking anywhere from 40 - 100 BB per hour playing PLO.

That's huge. I've amassed over $2K from three hours of play, and subsequently lost the majority of it playing BJ. LOL.
