20/20 Tonight! 01/02/08
No ponting in the squad this evening! Anyone think that it could change the outcome of the game not having the Captain on the field given the current happenings in world cricket... in particular between India/Australia.
Will dance for your chips!

Don't get me started on India.

Please do get started Dave! I haven't been following India's antics as closely as I should have been recently. I want to see an essay. I believe that Pontings presence from the field will be greatly missed, particularly if there are 'words' so to speak.
Well we did invent recording methods for situations like these... but it *IS* a 20/20 match and it just isn't the same when it isn't 'live' -- or as close to as u can get.

I'd rather watch a test match with two nations I don't even follow than a 20/20 game. Whilst it's good every now and then, the skill required is so much less :/

Ooooer! An Anti 20/20 boy!
I too prefer the test or 1 day game over the 20/20, but I'd lying in the extreme if I said that I didn't also enjoy watching the 20/20's and think that it's quite a bit rough to say that the skill required to play is much less. Sure it's a bit of a bastardization but it is a completely different game that's played, in cricket terms, at a breakneck pace.

I don't know... I've only been there once. I'd assume so but, it's a 20/20. The action is fast and furious. Playing cards would result in much loss of cricket watching. I had been debating it as I enjoyed myself last time there but still... cricket!
