If all of these new tourneys and timeslots each have a top 5 qualifying for the quarterly semi final, won't there be 3-4 times the amount of qualifiers?

Can we have a champs main event with 1200 people?

I see the opposite - I would have thought the uber turbo games run at the times most live games run, to ensure people still turning up to said live games.

During the day - there's no live venues to rob players from, so why not make those run a more relaxed structure?

To me, the early games (7.30, 1k start stack, 5 min levels) and finish within a couple of hours should swap structure with the late games (10.30, more relaxed strructure). This would make the earlier ones run longer, and the later ones run shorter. I would enjoy both better that way i think.

In regards to the online structure for the 888PL games.

- what goals/limits/constratints did you have when formulating these games, or was it up to 888 to come up with them. i.e. was it a deiberate decision to make these super turbo for a particular reason. Its my view, that these games were an ideal opportunity to implement a much more relaxed structure. it wound be interesting to know the process behind how these were developed.
- are these structures fluid? i.e. are you asking fro feedback from players about the structure of this comp for the future.

EDIT: i guess my concerns here could be solved by the above post. great initiative garth, i should have waited 2 more minutes before posting.

I designed the structures, we can do whatever we want with them.

The 8PM freeroll was always designed as a crapshoot and the structure was always meant to be turbo. I always want the Away games to be the most attractive option in this timeslot. I don't want anyone getting a better poker experience from playing online during venue operational times.

And I like the super turbo lunchtime format - gives those who are at work something to do over their lunchbreak.

No Sir, an additional 35 foundation events per week. Top 5 from each of those equals 165 qualifiers, from three different states. At most one state could possibly take out all top 5 positions across all states and therefore have an additional 165 qualifiers.

Important note that both Vic and SA are now operating around 110 events each. Of which 10% are Challenge events.

Therefore we are looking at a total of 100 Foundation Away Events and 35 Home FOundation events = 235 Foundation Events = 1175 qualifiers for Foundation Semi Finals (1 in Sa, 1 in Vic) same amount of qualifiers as usual.

Not to mention if they have any kind of decent electronic communications policy in place they would NOT be letting you connect your own private laptop to the corporate network.
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!
