Does that mean 2 games between 2-6 AND 2 between 12-9am, or 1 in each?

Two additional games in each time slot.

These cannot be all freerolls but you now have the opportunity to design
any format of tournament you want for these.

The guy or girl who comes up with the most decent schedule over the next 12 hours wins naming rights to these tournaments.

Awesome. Ok, here's my crack. None of these tournaments guarantee entry into any finals.

1 - NL HU Tourny

1500 start stack, 7 min levels. Capped at 128 runners (you won't even get this for a HU tourny). If you don't want to cap (or less than 128 runners) then initiate bye rounds to sort out the odd numbers. We have NL FR turbo's, we have a deepstack, we have 6max, we even have PLO... no HU. If you're going to make this a cash buyin I think $2+25c is enough.

9pm start.

2 - NL KO tourny (freeroll)

3pm and 9pm.

2k start stack, 10 min blinds. Although 5 could also work. Anyway, there's a KO bonus for knocking someone out. 1 point per player. When you accumulate x amount of points (however many games that takes), you can buy stuff. Say 100 points is an extra 2k at freerolls. 500 buys 888 merchandise. 1000 gets you free entry into the monthly qualifier, etc. This would probably mess with 888's own points program (do they even have one?) but something like this would be cool. Or can someone think of a better bonus for a KO tourny? Cos they're the shit.

3 - Rebuys.

9pm.

Cash rebuys, at $1 (50c even?) per rebuy. 1500 start stack, 7 min levels. Add on for $1 or 50c at break, 2k chips. If you add $100 to the prizepool (maybe make it a weekly event) I could see this being VERY popular.

Fill the midnight-9am, or others, slots with sng's (18m, 45m, 90m) that award prizes for top 3. Extra chips at 888pl events? Merchandise? Something miniscule but nothing huge.

Ok, that's all I got off the top of my head.

Having said that I haven't actually downloaded or registered with the 888 site but I'd like too give it a go. So, if it were possible I'd like to hook up with someone or a group of you guys (your place or mine) who are already playing online so you can explain it to me in person.

The easiest way (and in lieu of actually wanting to see you in person) is that the Foundation games (previously freeroll, just think F for both) are the online version of going to the pub. It's free. Just no stamp cards. The same qualification & points apply.

The Challenge (previously Cash Buy-in, think C for both) is the online version, where you pay. Again, same rules apply for points.

There are 5 or 6 games available online, each one is a seperate event. The Monday 11.30 game is like the Para Hills venue, and the Monday 7.30 game is like the Parafield Gardens. Points don't transfer between both (except for the Dream Team, which is like the State Top 50 Leaderboard).

That's my take on it.

Thanks for your input Bacon. Obviously, I'll need to download 888 and have a look at it. So, from what I have gathered so far is that I should use the download link at the top of the forum page rather than the email one, yes?

And will 888 use my current (Bob B) name from here on the forum?

You can pick whatever user name you want for 888pl Bob. As long as it's not already taken.

I have a few questions before i deposit some cash on pacific poker.

1. Am i depositing in usd or aud

Stars lets me deposit in AUD. I dont pay currency conversion fees. Is 888pl the same?

2. What bonus code do I use

I will wait for some answers before i actually part with my deposit

I normally deposit in USD. I don't know if there is an option for AU. I don't think I have ever seen or heard of any poker site charging "conversion fees".

Deposit as normal and you should receive the welcome bonus of 100% with 25% up front. If you don't send me a pm or email and we will manually update your account with the relevant bonus.
