I'm not, HATED the last one.

That's not the event itself's fault though.

Wasn't going to comment on this topic seeing as I didn't bother trying to qualify for anything last season but I can't for the life of me work out how it's a good idea to ask players to try and qualify for two separate events and then only have it possible to play in just one of them.

I'm sure there is a reason why, I'm just not sure how it'd be a good reason.
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

How many sms's did you receive today?

I have had 3 sms's today advising me that I have qualified for 3 events

Sat Morning's Terminator
Sunday's Main Event and the venue winners bonus within Main Event

Also I will be lining up for the Riverland in the "Regional Teams Shootout" Sat Night.

Depending on how Sunday's game pans out, If I gone by 3.45 then I will play the $25 buy in.

Alas Friday nights buy in I'll be a non starter along with Event 2 the Invitational as I didn't qualify.

What eventts are you playing ?

Can't make it down on the Friday cash buy-in gundog or thought you needed to qualify for it?

It's open to anyone with cash, and that's exactly who showed up last time :P

Bacon,
I didn't even notice the conflict until Peter then you pointed it out. I appreciate you doing that.

But from my point of view, I am extremely disappointed. In all honesty I try really hard to qualify or at least point or do well at every game and maybe I do take it too seriously some times, but... I don't have the confidence or the ability to go to the casino and play, so I have to try and do well at the game I love so much in the only place I can and with the only league that provides me the opportunity to improve and grow.

Having said that:
Not totally sure how 888PL could have done it any differently however, I am thinking trial and error is the only way. Unless they moved the cash game on the Friday night to the Saturday arvo, however that would mess up my Friday night games, so that would upset me more.. LOL

I am guessing also that they didn't expect there to be that many affected by the conflicting times.

I guess the only thing that makes it an easy choice is the fact the FTT is at least every 6 weeks, where as the other tournament is one we had to work really hard to get.

(I hope this makes sense.)

Hey boys & girls.

Curently tossing up a few ideas so solve the problem of the $5K tournaments clashing. What is does mean is almost a complete re-shuffle of the games. Let me know what you think of this weekend structure and if it enables you to play in the tournaments you qualified for.

Friday - as is $10 Cash Buy In Event

Saturday - $5K Deep Stack Invitational
Start: 10.30am Expected Finish:10.30pm

Saturday - $5K FTT Terminator Tournament
Start: 2.30pm Expected Finish: 8.30pm

Saturday - $25 Cash Buy In Event
Start: 5.30pm Expected Finish: 10.30pm

Sunday - $25K Main Event
Start: 11.00am Expected Finish: 11.30pm

Sunday - $2K Regional Teams Shootout
Start: 6.00pm Expected Finish: 10.30pm

Tim,
Thanks for giving this a shot.
But if I read this right, it is now a problem of on both days, all 4 of the tournaments I personally have qualified for overlap.

That is assuming I do well, I won't be able to play in 2 of the tournaments I qualified for. (I realise that is a gigantic assumption)

Didn't that only happen in one case on the previous arrangement?

Nice try Tim but nah !

Moving the regional teams event to clash with main event I dont like. I busted my arse to make the team, there is regional pride on the line here along with bragging rights.

May I suggest the Invitational be run on the Friday Night as the majority of participiants would be from Metro/Gawler areas.

Sat Terminator and Teams

$10 CBI to Sunday afternoon for those knocked out of Main Event and anyone else and a 2nd one Sat .
