It depends on what structure they wanted for payouts.

I don't have an issue with around 25% going to 1st place for less than 100 runners.

Generally the payout for first is anywhere from 20 - 30% of the prize pool, 25% is generally the norm.

Thanks for that Bacon I forgot about the $200 skimmed off the top for another tourney. And yes Pete, I thought it would have been higher say around 40% for first place.
