It depends on what structure they wanted for payouts.

Did you think it should be higher or lower?
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Bob B wrote:I was just reading through the posts on here and after reading Petes comments I'm a little confused as to how the winner only received $400!!!!

If there were 84 runners @ $20 per head = $1,680 makes it around a 24% payout to the winner!!!

Surely that can't be correct, or is it??? :o

PS great report tho Pete well done made good reading.

Maybe it was a flatter payout structure then what we're normally accustomed to.

I don't have an issue with around 25% going to 1st place for less than 100 runners.

Don't forget the Deepstack Invite!

• Field size of 70+
o $200 will be removed from prize pool
o 1st – 4th will receive entry into $5,000 Guaranteed Invitational Deepstack
o 70+ player prize pool breakdown
 1st: 30% + $5,000 GTD Deep stack invitational seat valued at $50
 2nd: 20% + $5,000 GTD Deep stack invitational seat valued at $50
 3rd: 15% + $5,000 GTD Deep stack invitational seat valued at $50
 4th: 15% + $5,000 GTD Deep stack invitational seat valued at $50
 5th: 10%
 6th: 10%

Sounds like the figures are right.
I'm not perfect. I'm what perfect aspires to become

Generally the payout for first is anywhere from 20 - 30% of the prize pool, 25% is generally the norm.

Thanks for that Bacon I forgot about the $200 skimmed off the top for another tourney. And yes Pete, I thought it would have been higher say around 40% for first place.

I was comparing the pay out to a similar CBI game held on Saturday.
