Maybe we could all use them in our sigs instead.
You did ask benny the cunt not to use them after all, not any other forum users...

yeah good call toddy. im 90% proud but 10% insanely jealous.

Bragging rights are massively important as a twin. and i have lost them for a fair while as far as poker in concerned (before this i had won way more tourneys and a regional title as well as a states cash).

But im soooooooo okay with giving up bragging rights over this one. he bloody well deserved them, cos, and this is quite hard to say, and benny the cunt please dont use this as your sig, but benny the cunt is the better player. i have some work to do. :D

LOL. Know the feeling. :-). All too well, i taught mine the basics, and look at the monster i created. Mind you i am probably the problem gambler of the family :-D.

benny the cunt completes the Sb and the BB checks his option.

Flop: 7c, 5c, 7d

Both blinds check their option and Gibbo bets 100,000.

benny the cunt double fist pumps snap shoves all in for 318,000.
Gibbo snap calls.

benny the cunt: Th 5h
Gibbo: Ac Tc

Turn: Jd
River: 8h

benny the cunt ships a 737,000 pot.

No players are eliminated but Gibbo is down to 240K.

what did people think about how i played this hand?

i just ran the odds then, and its about as close to a flip as you can get. i was 49.2% and gibbo was 49.8%

my thinking here though was that i was ahead of any hand that limps preflop and then bets on that board, save for A5 and possibly 66. every other pair was raising, and probably checking flop. any hand with a 7 is probably not betting there, even though there are flush draws.

when i checked, i told myself that i am shoving any bet here, and by making it an instashove, i was trying to rep a 7. but thought i was ahead of most things anyway. that was the plan. i was hoping to get a fold, so when he called with a with a flush draw and 2 overs, that was about the worst it was going to get i thought. luckily the board bricked out.

what did everyone think about this hand?

I'm far from the best poker player here but if I was in that hand I would have thought he had a mid level pair (8-8, 9-9 or 10-10) when he went 100k after the flop.
Please note that I am NOT the World Champ, Australian Champ, SA champ or even the Adelaide Hills champ so any advice I give must be taken with tonne of salt :P

I actually thought it was one of your better hands.

You needed a double up, read your opponent well and put him to the test on the flop with a CR.

With effective stacks at this stage this was the only time you could shove and collect that pot.
I personally thought it was the best hand of the tournament simply for it's effectiveness, your read and the situational awareness you showed.

It should also be mentioned that at this stage everyone was playing leas than 15BB, so it was a good time to look for the double up and the problem is you ran into a monster hand for that board. How you faded those outs is beyond me.

thanks garth

i personally thought he was raising all pocket pairs in that spot, except for maybe 6s. i also thought he would have raised with A10 so i was slightly off, but my read was flush draw as soon as he bet.

i just thought i was willing to pay off a flopped trips here, and i am ahead of everything else. A10 suited was pretty much the worst hand he could have rolled, so yeah i was pretty lucky to dodge the outs.

benny the cunt,

Mind if I ask you how many tournaments you have done that have required you to sit and concentrate for that length of time?
Or was that your first time?
