Waterloo 5/Feb Final Table

Postby dcookie87 » Tue Feb 05, 2008 11:57 pm

I somehow managed to fluke my way to heads up tonight. I took down pocket aces with my J6 on suit hitting a flush. First hand of heads up I got dealt AKoff... I pushed all in... He called with pocket 9's. 5677Q on the table. Not really a bad beat... But it still hurt...

I feel your pain - QQ with three runners left tonight, button moves all-in, i go over the top ... BB (who did have me covered by 20k) thinks for afew seconds and announces,"Well, I have to." K7, button has AQ.

Board ran out 2 5 5 5 ....K

NEVER has my signature been more apt. Of course, I had no more chips left to throw...

Try THIS one on for size!

An all in call by one gentleman, I throw my remaining chips in (not many but still) and then the BB calls the first all in... larger stack by about 3x.

BB - J/10 off
1st All in - 10/10
Me - Q/Q

Flop - 2 Q 8 (rainbow)
Turn - K
River - A

Spanked! :)
Will dance for your chips!

There's nothing worse then getting trips on the flop then getting done by a flush or straight on the river.
I had a very similar scenario at the casino a while ago.
My first and last hand there was KK. I raise half my stack pre-flop. 1 caller. Flop comes out Kh 9h 5s. I knew he was chasing the flush so I pushed all-in quickly hoping he wouldn't fish for it. He called. And hit the ace high flush on the river.
Never been back since... ;)

Last night I am big blind, I have KK, I raise all in and I get 2 callers. They have K9 off and AK off. About a 55k pot. Flop comes A 9 6, turn 4, river 2.
