Wow you own a Forum...congrats!
I get people responding to issues and topics by having a different opinion to them (god forbid!) and not being "mainstream" if I could use that word because "your" forum is very "mainstream" and a bit of a yawn until you start getting people emotions involved...really who have I hurt here? I can't believe I'm even asking that question......it's pathetic.
You responded with "For the record, I have sent a PM. Not that it matters to you". This to me shows a statement of true ignorance and arrogance. I would like to add however that I would bet this PM (if it even went out) was done after the fact...as in after recieving my message. You let the emotions of others guide you to do what has been done thus far. If a posting from maccatak1 saying he will make fun of my mothers death is ok then the posting of maccatak1 as Michael Jacksons blowrag is more than fine....so that's why I posted it.

I'm giving you a fair bit of leeway here.
And then you go an post a message I sent to YOU. Not to everyone else.

I am no longer going to continue a discourse on this subject.
Just because people make jokes about someone's passing doesn't mean that people are not allowed to be offended by comments made in any manner.
I found the whole argument illogical and non sensical. In conclusion perhaps we all should grow up, take comments with a grain of salt but try and understands other people's boundaries and respect their opinions and feelings.
I think that should work for everybody?

Acehole, from the few posts of yours that I have seen on the forums it seems as though you are always an antagonist.
The Michael Jackson comments were entirely out of line and it certainly offended me. You don't have to meet someone for them to leave an indelible mark on your life. Whether it be Michael Jackson or Nelson Mandela - their actions, acheivements and life can inspire people who may have never met them. When they pass away its no suprise that these people will feel some sorrow and when they try to express that they don't need someone to make crude comments.
Just think about your comments in the future. Ask yourself: am I adding something positive to the discussion? If the answer is no then just don't post it.

I have not seen Macca's post apart from the one saying "if your mother died, is it ok to make jokes about her just because we do not personally know her?"
This is what I was going to say before the topic was locked. Your logic on making jokes about MJ was that because you didn't know him personally, it was ok. Does that not give anyone else the right, according to you, to make jokes about your mother/friend when they die because we did not know them?
As has been said many times before, whether we knew MJ personally or not is irrelevant. His death affected millions the world over, and there is nothing wrong with feeling sadness over his death. Just because he is a celebrity does not give you (or anyone) the right to degrade him.

I missed out on most of the 'fun' earlier (day off so spent it relaxing) but I would like to remind everyone that this forum is definitely about expressing views and opinions and having reasonable discussions on a wide range of things.
It's also definitely NOT a democracy and what the Administrators and Moderators say, goes.
We like to think we are extremely fair in all of the decisions we make, if sometimes people don't agree - then they don't agree and we all move on.

Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Apart from everything else said here, and I didnt get to see the posts in question, but it sounds like you, Acehole, took offence to a post or 2, and basically retaliated in kind.
I think thats petty and childish. Grow up.
