Guys,

Be very careful in the manner you speak about other players please.

I will give you one chance to edit the above posts before I take action.

All players have different player styles, this is a public forum and I will not stand for public denegration of other players.

From what I can read on the board he is lecturing about error-detecting and error-repairing code theory, which if not known, would make any non-trivial computer to computer communications impossible, let alone Online Poker! (also modern tele-comms)

Don't start a moron thread, it will fill up far too quickly
I have also had similar run ins with both those players mentioned, as well as a hand where all the money was in on the turn, me with a set of Qs, and [name withheld] on a flush draw with 8 high in his hand. I was more stunned that he called a 4BB preflop raise with 8 high. And others besides....
But I wouldnt call them morons, I just think they rely a little too much on luck!

Also see this thread.

Hmmmmm, who's the moron? Those who cant tell equations from data? I see no graphs there ;)
The equation is a redundancy check 'algorithm' for detecting multi-bit errors in a binary data stream, aka crc. An although the one shown isnt used much, or in standard protocols the web is based on, as better schemes exist, it was a mainstay of early (50s and 60s) attempts at networking computers (hence why they still teach it - basics first)
Image ...11.59% of bad beat stories are just misplayed hands ...

Just be sure you're not posting "how effing bad is this player," posts.

Dwelling on beats you've had, and the players inflicting them, don't do anyone any good.

Discussing whether hands you've played were played correctly, finding leaks etc - good for your game.

Posting how big of a **** a player is for sucking out - just find solace in the fact you're decisions are right, variance kicked you, and move on.

There's a reason I renamed this forum from "Hand Discussion & Bad Beats" to just HD ;)

Agreed.

But what's the fun in that?

I had this French chick on 888pl, in a 10-hander who was cheering like she was at Paradise, after hitting her 3-outer. I'd like to name & shame.
I'm not perfect. I'm what perfect aspires to become

HUGE LOL

It's ok to dislike morons in general, but they get uppity when you single them out as though they're more special than the other morons.
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

nicely said...

some fold more often than others..
some jam,
some go allin cuz it sounds good,
some chase
some bluff occasionally,
some even bet with a - EV
some bet cuz they have greater than 3:1 pot odds.
others play cuz they were suited or its my favourite hand.

oh to do all the above , but i'd just rather hit something on the flop occasionally and not lose on the river with some thing more than a 4 % outer.
