So ok..
I am going to look so dumb here (yet again... LOL), but what is the difference between a shootout and a freeze out?
I always thought a freeze out was in regards to buy in tournys???
Not something like this.

Re: IMG Group Final Qualifiers!
freezeout is your standard tourney without rebuys etc.
i.e championship main events etc.
standard 888pl tourneys are a limited rebuy tournament (u get your cards to use as a rebuy/addon)
in a shootout, each table plays down to a single winner - i.e 64 runners, 8 tables, winner from each make an 8 person final table.

A shootout is a tournament where the winner (or sometimes top 2) of each table progresses to the next round.
A freezeout is technically a tournament with no rebuys or addons, but is used generally to describe your standard multi-table tournament.

Thanks so much benny the cunt and Scott.
I am with Scott also, I was really disappointed to hear it was a shootout.
Caleb gave me an idea it was like the teams event, I really didn't like the sound of that one little bit.
Not for this type of competition anyway.

Re: IMG Group Final Qualifiers!
Sorry guys but i have some unfortunate news!
Due to venue commitments the IMG Group final has been pushed back to Saturday the 15th of August.
The final will still definitely run, just a little later than expected. Looking on the bright side for all those who have qualified it will make a great warm up event the first 888PL championship series which won't be too far after it.
The final has also been locked in as a 5k starting stack FREEZE-OUT (no passports, expect for venue and 888PL prizes) Blinds will be that of a standard FTT event (approximately 20 mins per level)
I have just received an updated qualifiers list which accounts for all duplicate qualifiers and bumping them out to add unique entrants. I will have that properly formatted and up here on the forum as soon as i can (possibly after i return home from running the Winstons Bar event, Come play!!)

As long as it's still running at some point, I'm happy. Least it gives me another month to work out where the hell the Emu is
Excellent - can I have naming rights?

Scott's Tournament. Doesn't quite have the same ring to it as AK's Big Hair Rebuy, but still good nonetheless.
